2 in Trash Pump

A trash pump is what you want when the water has things in it. A clean-water pump moves more gallons per minute but jams on the first handful of leaves, silt or gravel. This one passes soft solids up to 5/8 of an inch, which is the whole point when you are emptying a trench that has been open through a rainstorm.

It comes with hoses. Suction hose with the intake strainer, discharge hose, and the clamps and fittings to connect them - so it turns up ready to run rather than sending you to a hardware store on a Saturday.

Gasoline engine with a recoil start, so it goes wherever you can carry 53 pounds. No power needed, no cord, and nothing to worry about near standing water.

The two numbers that matter

Suction lift: 26 feet. That is how far above the water the pump can sit and still prime. If the water is at the bottom of a deep hole and the pump is at the top, this is the number that decides whether it works at all.

Total head: 91 feet. That is the combined height and distance it can push against. It falls off as you go - 158 gpm is the figure at zero head, and you will get less through a long run or up a bank.
